An enduring problem with the Medium apps is the inability to submit to publications from some devices or, for that matter, to publish. I am surprised this problem has not yet been solved by Medium Staff.

Here’s my work-around:

  1. You, as the writer, publish your piece to directly Medium.
  2. Add a comment to your piece tagging me and saying you would like to submit your work to RP.
  3. Be sure you have your Medium settings set up to receive email from Medium because, after I see your tag, I will send you a response email with a link you can use to upload your poem to RP from your device.

The downside of this method is you are not submitting a draft, so the piece, when published, won’t have a simultaneous alert to both your followers and the publications followers.

I do my best to publish every day. So (unless I am on the road and can’t publish from my mobile — Grrrr!) there shouldn’t be a huge lag time in the above method.

Your other choice, if you don’t have access to a lap or desktop computer, is to go to a public library, log on to your Medium account and submit a draft from there.
